2 miracles

A few days ago I was reading Acts Chapt 16 for QT and it struck a deep chord in me. The night Paul and Silas were thrown into prison, they never dispaired, and instead sung hymns and prayed. The other prisoners listened, and I believe with both their ears and hearts. God contentedly displayed hos power in this faithfilled situation, flinging open all the cell doors. Faced with the unenviable prospect of accounting for a whole jail of escaped prisoners, the jailer drew his blade and prepared to end his own life, but was stopped by Paul, who shouted, "Stop! We are all here!" It is noteworthy that Paul put his own freedom at stake here to save another's life(not just temporally, but also eternally if he could help it), but it is even more astounding that none of the prisoners ran away while they could. Murderers, thieves and the like, touched by the spirit and overawed by the situation, unanimously opted to stay put.
Because of their selfless act, the jailer's life was spared. At that moment he decided to believe in the Lord and was saved. The importance of this occasion was not lost on him either, as after washing their wounds, in the middle of the night, he took them out of jail, through the deathly quiet streets to his own house, where that night his family was all saved, as he was aware he might never have another chance...
The next morning, God rewarded Paul, Silas and the jailer for their faith in the face of grave danger and imminent deaths. He worked his second miracle by getting the magistrates to command the Jailer to release Paul and Silas.
2 miracles in the space of 12 hours because 3 men not only believed, but had the courage to carry out their conviction.
